clinical material is available to the students in the attached teaching
hospital which is within the campus and it provides free treatment to
all out patients and inpatients. All diagnostic tests like X-ray, Ultra
Sound, blood and urine tests in the central lab are done free of cost.
All inpatients are given free food twice a day. Students get excellent
hands-on experience in the hospital and they learn through live
demonstrations.Mission of CM Medical college is to understand and
improve the health of individuals and populations by producing a diverse
workforce of clinicians and by developing innovative research and

which was constituted in the year 1999, with the avowed object of
spreading the message of Shree Guru Gobind Singh (Dashmesh) that the
highest service is rendered by spread of knowledge. The trust aims
towards providing quality education by creation of centers of academic
excellence for promoting studies in Sikhism and other subjects, and also
aims to serve society by providing better health care facilities to the
needy at an affordable cost.
In
the year 2009, the Trust has applied for the establishment of Medical
College with the appropriate authorities, and got permission to commence
1st year MBBS course from the academic session 2010-11 with an intake
capacity of 100 students per annum vide MCI Letter No
MCI.34(41)/2010/Med./918 Date 15/07/2010.SGT Medical College is located
in the lap of nature amongst open green fields and far from the
maddening crowd of the city, while being in close proximity to the
National Capital Territory of Delhi. The serene surroundings are

Mata
Gujri Memorial Medical College & Lion’s Seva Kendra Hospital,
Kishanganj was sponsored and established by a Trust of Sikh religious
minority community under article 30(1) of the Constitution of India,
with a view of giving efficient medical service to the people of the
entire North-East Region-an underdeveloped, educationally, socially and
economically backward area. The Sikh minority Community thus decided to
serve this area through a Medical College and a well equipped Hospital
in the State of Bihar.
The
College is named in honour of a deeply religious and pious lady of the
country. MATA GUJRI, the revered Mother of Guru Gobind Singh Jee, the
Tenth Guru of the Sikh Religion, to impart medical education to the
youth of this country, particularly of the State of Bihar, so that they
may discharge their obligations to the Nation. The College being a Sikh
minority institution, a ‘Gurudwara’ has been built within the campus of
the College and the Hospital, as per the Trust Deed. The foundation of
the Hospital was laid by Rev. MOTHER TERESA. The building of the College
and the Hospital was inaugurated by the former President of India,
GIANI ZAIL SINGH, on 15th January, 1991.
