Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar was set up in the year 1986. The institute is a constituent college of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research under the support of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, Kolar, is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

This medical institution has a unique distinction of certification by NAAC India and certification by ISO 9001-2000 and maintains a high standard in teaching learning evaluation process and the institution has become a byword for quality Medical Education.

The college and the University office are located at Tamaka village, Kolar and spread over almost 100 acres of lush green campus. This campus is 75K.M. away from Bangalore as well as the Bangalore International Airport.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS):

This graduation program is of five and a half year’s duration including a compulsory rotatory internship of one year duration.

MBBS (Medicine and Surgery)- Stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Typically, MBBS

(Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6 years course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating as well as treating a pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates applying for UG courses should have complete 2nd PUC or 12th standard or any other equivalent exams with 50% marks. CET or COMED-K Exams to be compulsory taken.

• Admission in MBBS Course – For getting admission into MBBS course in Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College,
• Kolar the students have to qualify Common Entrance Test conducted by Sri Devaraj Urs University.
• The admission of the students in Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College is based on the ranks obtained in the all India Entrance Examination (SDUAHER – AIUGMET).

COMEDK 2015 Eligibility Criteria For Medical (MBBS/ BDS)

• Minimum age of the applicant must be 17 years old, as on 31 December 2015.
• Candidates should have cleared 10+2, with Physic, Biology and English as core subjects, from a recognized board.
• General candidates must have scored, both in aggregate and in PCB, upto 50% in qualifying exam. Whereas, SC/ ST / OBC candidates, of the State, need to score upto 40% only.
• Even in English subject, general category candidates must have attained 50% marks, however, for SC/ ST and OBC of Karnataka State, the same 40%.

Candidates who will be writing their qualifying exam, this year, may also apply. Admission will be granted to them, if they manage to secure marks, as stated above and, if, they satisfy other criteria including qualifying COMEDK 2015.

COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 Entrance Exam on May 10

Examination authority COMEDK has announced the COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 entrance exam schedule for MBBS and BDS courses for 2015. According to officials, COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 entrance exam will be conducted on May 10, 2015 for admission to the first year of MBBS and BDS courses in the Member Institutions of the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust (KPCF).

COMEDK UGET 2015 is a qualifying exam for admission to as many as 1,500 medical and dental seats in 14 medical and 25 dental COMEDK member institutions.

As per the COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 eligibility criteria, an applicant must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or would be of the eligible age on or before December 31, 2015. The applicant should also have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary School Examination/equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects at the time of application.

Another important criteria is that the applicants should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English if they belongs to general category and 40% in case of SC/ST category.

 The application procedure of COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 will tentatively begin in the last week of March 2015.  Aspirants can fill the application form of The COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 online and remit the fee through a bank challan or demand draft. COMEDK will announce the detailed procedure of the COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 application process tentatively in the month of February or March, 2015.

COMEDK UGET Medical 2015 Exam will have Physics and Chemistry as one paper for duration of two hours. While, Biology and English will be the other paper for the same duration.

Mostly, questions will be asked on the basis of HSC/10+2 syllabus. Generally, the Question Paper Booklet given to the candidate consists of 240 questions (multiple choice types) where each right answer is given 1 mark and there is no negative marking for a wrong response.

Pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent in the first attempt with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology taken together and 60% marks in English separately.

The full / permanent MCI/MMC or state for Medical or DCI/MDC for Dental or State registration is a condition precedent for appearing at DMIMS (DU) - APGM CET 2015 & DMIMS (DU) - AIPGD CET 2015 and its proof including submission of application for registration should be enclosed

Paper Pattern

The paper would be of three and half hours duration containing 300 multiple choice questions (MCQ)
Questions will be of single best response objective type with four answer options
Each correct response shall be awarded one mark

There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers

Application Form

Candidates may download the application form from website www.dmimsu.edu.in, and submit the application form along with a demand draft of Rs.2500/- by post or in person to Regd Office at Nagpur on or before 15th January 2015

The DMIMS (DU) - AIPGM CET 2015 & DMIMS (DU) - AIPGD CET 2015 will be conducted at Nagpur only for selection of candidate for admission to the MD/MS/Diploma/MDS/Diploma courses offered by DMIMS (DU) Nagpur

The medium of instruction of entrance test is English

The competent authority DMIMS (DU) - AIPGM CET 2015 and DMIMS (DU) - AIPGD CET 2015 is Rs.2500/- of each exam, which shall have to be paid by Cash / Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Competent Authority DMIMS (DU)" payable at Nagpur at the time of the submission of application form

Candidates should submit the application form along with attested true copies of the required certificates and documents. No original documents are to be attached with the application form

Submission of Application Form

Completed application forms along with necessary certificate/documents duly attested should be submitted only at the following address (By Post or in Person only): Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Atrey Layot, Pratap Nagar, Nagpur-022 on or before 15th January 2015 upto 05.00 pm along with necessary fees of Rs.2500/- in form of Cash/Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Competent Authority DMIMS (DU)" payable at Nagpur if download

All the eligible candidates are required to take the DMIMS (DU) AIPGMCET 2015 & DMIMS (DU) AIPGDCET 2015 exams at their own cost

Competent Authority reserves the right to shift, if required, the examination city / centre; the change would be notified to eligible candidates

Admit Cards

No candidates will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall / Venue of allotment of seats by personal appearance without valid Admit Card (Without Envelope) in original
Candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Card till allotment of seats in College/Institute; duplicate Admit Card will not be issued after the exam
