Late Dr Vasantrao Pawar the Ex
Sarchitnis of MVP Samaj and the conceptualiser of the MVP'S Hi Tech
hospital, recipient of the prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy award, went to his
heavenly abode on 7 October 2010 due to a massive cardiac arrest.
From procuring the official
permission to start the medical college in 1989 to it having achieved
the status of a multidisciplinary Post graduate institute with a hi-tech
super specialty hospital now, every milestone was achieved because of
his relentless effort and as a mark of respect and gratitude to his
immense contribution, this college was aptly named as Dr Vasantrao Pawar
medical college hospital and research center on 4 April 2010.
He took personal interest in all
the routine activities in the functioning of the college inspite of his
extremely busy schedule as he was also holding the appointment of MLC,
for constituency of Nashik. His primary focus always remained patients
and students. He truly believed that the eventual success of a medical
Institution depends on the quality medical care you give to your
patients at affordable cost and hence he saw it personally that the poor
and needy patients get quality medical care at a negligible cost.
