NEET PG Result 2017

NEET PG Result 2017: The National Board of Examination (NBE) has declared NEET PG 2017 Result on January 13, 2017. However, the result for 50% All India Quota seats will be declared on January 15, 2017. NEET PG Result 2017 has been declared in the form of score-cards consisting of candidate’s name, percentiles and All India Rank (AIR) secured. Candidates can check NEET PG 2017 result by entering their NEET PG Confirmation ID, Testing ID and Date of Birth. Candidates must note that NEET PG 2017 merit list will be declared separately for 50% All India quota, 50% category quota and state quota/private medical colleges/deemed universities/AFMS rank. In order to become eligible for admissions in MD/MS/PG Diploma seats in 2017 academic session, a candidate belonging to general category have to obtain a minimum of 50 percentile. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the minimum percentile to secure is 40. Candidates who had appeared in the test can check below for the NEET PG 2017 result.

The validity of NEET PG result will only be for the current session, i.e. 2017 admissions and cannot be carried for forward for the next session.

Candidates must note that NEET PG Result 2017 will be valid for the following seats:

·         DNB Broad Specialty courses (from January 2017 session)

·         MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all private medical and deemed medical universities/ institutes across the country

·         MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institution

·         All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in all states except in Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

·         State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all states and Union territories of India including Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

NEET PG Merit List 2017

All India NEET PG Rank 2017

This will be the overall merit position of candidates amongst all candidates who have appeared in NEET PG 2017

All India 50% Quota Rank 2017

This will be the overall merit position of the candidates for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/Postgraduate Diploma courses in 2017 academic session.

All India 50% Quota category Rank 2017

This will be the overall merit portion of candidates in the category (SC/ST/OBC) as opted during the registration process for All India 50% quota and is valid only for All India 50% quota for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in 2017 academic session.

State Quota/Private medical colleges/Deemed Universities/AFMS Rank

State quota rank, state category rank, benefit for in-service candidates, rural postings (in case applicable) will be determined by the designated agency/authority of the concerned state/university/concerned authority as per regulations, eligibility criteria, guidelines and reservation policies.

In case of two or more candidates obtaining the same percentile, the tie-breaking criteria will be as followed:

·         In the event of two or more candidates obtaining same percentile, the merit position will be determined by the number of wrong responses by the number of wrong responses of such candidates. Candidates with less number of wrong responses will be placed at higher merit.

·         In case of a tie with same percentile rank and same number of wrong questions, date of birth will be considered for further inter-se-merit. An elder candidate will be placed at a higher merit failing which marks obtained in qualifying examination, i.e. MBBS will be considered.

Note: There is no provision of re-checking /re-totalling/re-evaluation of the question paper and answer sheet and no query in this regard will be entertained.

After the declaration of NEET PG 2017 result, the first counselling will be held in the month of March, 2017, tentatively, by Medical Counselling Committee for admissions to 50% seats in government medical colleges of the country.

AIIMS PG 2017

AIIMS PG 2017: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has announced the result for AIIMS PG 2017 entrance exam on November 19, 2016. The entrance exam for admissions to Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programmes for January session was held on November 13, 2016. AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice a year for admissions to approximately 183 MD/MS programmes in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences and seven MDS programmes each in its January and July session.

AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2017

The eligibility criteria of AIIMS PG 2017 for January session is given below. It is advised to read the eligibility criteria thoroughly before filling up the application forms. Also, candidates who fail to meet the requirement will not be given admission:

·         Candidates must have an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from a recognized institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India

·         Candidates must have completed the 12 months of rotating internship on or before January 30, 2017

·         Candidate belonging to general category must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while it is 50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories

AIIMS PG Application Form 2017

The online registration for AIIMS PG 2017 January session had started from September 6, 2016. The application forms were available in online mode only and no other mode was accepted. The last date to fill the online application form was September 26, 2016.

The application fee amount of AIIMS PG 2017 was Rs.1000 for General and OBC candidates and Rs.800 for SC/ST candidates. Along with the application fee amount candidates had to pay the transaction charges. The fee had to be remitted through net banking, debit card and credit card.

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 2017

AIIMS PG 2017 is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The question paper will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority, AIIMS, New Delhi. The online question booklet will have questions Pre-Clinical, Clinical and Para-Clinical subjects. Candidates can check below for the highlights of AIIMS PG 2017 exam pattern:

Exam pattern for MD/MS and MDS

For MD/MS: ·         Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes) ·         Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions ·         Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response ·         Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response ·         Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

AIIMS PG Admit Card 2017

The admit card of AIIMS PG 2017 is available for those candidates only whose application forms will be accepted by the exam conducting authority, AIIMS, New Delhi. The admit card was available from October 24, 2016 under candidate’s login. AIIMS PG 2017 January session admit cards consist of candidate’s name, examination details, examination centre address etc.

AIIMS PG Result 2017

The result cum merit list of AIIMS PG 2017 has been declared in online mode on November 19, 2016. The result is declared for those candidates only who have secured a minimum of 50 percentile in the entrance exam irrespective of their category.

AIIMS PG Cut off 2017

The cut off is the minimum marks required to obtain in AIIMS PG 2017 in order to qualify the entrance exam.  The cutoff marks have been prescribed by the examination authority, AIIMS, New Delhi. According to the official brochure, candidates have to secure a minimum of 50 percentile in AIIMS PG 2017 irrespective of their category. Based on the cut off marks, the result cum merit list will be prepared and candidates will be called for AIIMS PG 2017 counseling.

AIIMS PG Reservation of seats 2017

AIIMS PG 2017 January session is conducted for providing admissions to as many as 183 MD/MS and 7 MDS seats in AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur and AIIMS Rishikesh. The number and distribution of seat may vary depending upon the directions from Competent Authorities.

AIIMS PG Counselling 2017

The counseling of AIIMS PG 2017 will be conducted in three rounds including the open selection. The first counseling will be conducted in December 14, 2016, followed by second and open round on December 22 and January 24, 2017, respectively. For each category, the number of candidates called for counseling will be eight times the number of seats. The counseling will be done purely on the basis of AIIMS PG 2017 merit list. The candidate in order of merit will exercise their choice of subject in accordance to the availability of seats.
