AIPGMEE 2015 Exam Day Guidelines 
 With AIPGMEE 2015 scheduled from December 1 to 6, 2015 you must be ready for the most coveted post graduate medical entrance exam. AIPGMEE is the basis for admission to 50% All India quota seats of MD/MS/Diploma, in various Government medical colleges of India except PG Medical Colleges of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.

AIPGMEE 2015 entrance exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 3 hours and 30 minutes duration. The national level postgraduate medical entrance exam will begin at 10: 00 AM and conclude at 1:45 PM for morning session and 3:45 PM to 7:30 PM for afternoon session. According to officials, candidates must report 1 hour before the exam time and entry will close half an hour before the exam.
AIPGMEE Exam questions paper will have 300 Multiple Choice Questions in English language as per syllabus prescribed by the examination authority NBE.
  1. Material to be brought in AIPGMEE 2015: Admit Card, Post Card & Passport Size Photographs and Blue/ Black Ball Point Pens only
AIPGMEE 2015 Admit card: Candidates must bring printed copy of the AIPGMEE 2015 admit Card with a photograph of the candidate pasted on it. The photograph has to be self attested. Attestation by a gazetted officer is not required.
Candidates also have to bring a photocopy of their Permanent and Provisional SMC/MCI registration, which will be retained by the test centre and any one of the authorized photo IDs – PAN CARD, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport  (must be original, valid and non-expired)

Candidates who have obtained their Primary medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC/MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued by NBE on its letterhead.

The name on the photo identification must match the name shown on the Admit card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage etc, candidate must show the relevant document like marriage certificate, divorce decree or legal name change document.

Candidates without valid ID proof shall not be allowed to enter the examination premises. Expired documents or photocopies will also not be admitted as proof of identity.

  1. AIPGMEE 2015 Exam Centres – When to Reach
  • Based on AIPGMEE 2015 prospectus, candidate must reach exam centre 1 hour before the prescribed time for the commencement of the examination. Entry into the examination hall will closes 30 minutes before the exam begins. No candidates will be allowed to enter after the reporting time.

Important Note:
  • The candidate should arrive at the AIPGMEE 2015 reporting counter at least one hour before the commencement of test i.e. 9:00 AM for the morning session and 2.45 PM for the afternoon session. There will be security checks, identity verification, image capture, bio-metric capture etc. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time.
  • Candidates may note that they will not be allowed entry to the test centre after 9.30 AM for the morning session and 3.15 PM for the afternoon session of the test. According to officials, late entry and early exit is not permitted during AIPGMEE 2015 entrance exam.
  1. AIPGMEE 2015 Test – How to Handle
After verification of Identity and biometrics, candidates will be escorted to the designated computer terminal at the examination centre where a Test Centre Administrator (TCA) will ‘check in’ the candidate. Candidates are advised to listen to the TCA’s instructions to begin the test. Each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and they will be provided with pencils, eraser and rough/scratch paper. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as no other material will be allowed inside the testing room. On completion of the test, candidates will have to hand all the scratch paper and stationery back to the test centre administrator.
Note:
Before the commencement of AIPGMEE 2015, a tutorial will be provided which will orient candidates to the computer based AIPGMEE test. This will give students an opportunity to try the various features, including how to navigate between questions, review them, select, de-select, change and mark responses etc. The tutorial has a total duration of 15 minutes and candidates are advised to go through it entirely before starting the actual test. At the end of the tutorial, candidates will be asked to accept a non-disclosure agreement(NDA) before beginning the test.

Approach your strong and weak areas differently: According toexperts, it is advisable to attempt sections in AIPGMEE 2015 question paper based on your strength and weakness. So, attempting the section in which you are strong first gives you a chance to ease your exam pressure and boost your confidence level.

Time Management:  According to toppers, the way you manage the ‘crucial 3.5-hours’ of AIPGMEE 2015 exam, makes all the difference.  Elamvazhuthi, second topper in AIPGMEE 2014 says, “Time management is the key to scoring good marks.” He advises students to first attempt simple and those questions which they feel confident about and then go for the difficult questions in the second round.
Keep calm and avoid silly mistakes: According to experts and toppers, students must be calm and composed throughout the exam. This temperament reduces the exam pressure and helps in maintaining concentration throughout the exam duration.
