AIIMS PG 2016 Entrance Exam

AIIMS PG 2016 Exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for the admission of candidates in various postgraduate courses such as MD/MS and MDS programmes. The AIIMS popularly known as All India Institute of Medical Science is an all India level exam. The AIIMS PG 2016 application form will be available on the official website for the candidates who are interested to apply for the exam. This entrance examination is held 2 times in a year i.e. in the month of January and July for the admission of students in a total of 166 of which 150 seats are for MD/MS and 16 seats for MD. Out of 166 seats, 83 seats go to the candidates belonging to the General category, 45 seats to OBC, 25 seats to SC and 13 seats to ST category candidates, and 38 seats are allocated to the candidates falling under the foreign category. AIIMS PG 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are applying for AIIMS PG exam 2016 must satisfy the conditions mentioned below.

• Candidates must have done MBBS degree for MD/MS programme or BDS degree if want to pursue MDS programme from a recognized university to be eligible.
• Candidates who are taking admission AIIMS PG 2016 for the July 2016 Session must have completed 1 year internship programme from a recognized Hospital on or before July, 2016.
• Candidates must score a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in their degree for general/ OBC category and 50% in case of SC/ST category students.

AIIMS PG 2016 Application Form

Those candidates who satisfied the AIIMS PG 2016 eligibility criteria can only apply for the examination.

• Go on the link www.aiimsexams.org to register for the examination.
• Click on Proceed button and read the guideline properly before applying.
• Candidates are required to fill in their personal, qualification and other details as mentioned in the form and click on Save and Proceed.
• After clicking on Save & Proceed button, a confirmation page will appear (click on edit if any changes are required)
• Candidates need to upload their recent passport size photograph and signature and save it.
• An application fees of Rs 1000/-is to be paid by general / OBC category students and Rs 800/- for SC/ ST through online by Debit/ Credit card and offline by creating SBI Bank Challan.
• Candidate has to keep the print out of the form with them for any future reference.

AIIMS PG 2016 Admit Card

Candidates whose application will be accepted can download their AIIMS PG 2016 admit card from April, 2016 for July session. The admit will have the candidate’s detail like name, roll number, exam center, time and examination instructions.

• There are total 200 multiple choice objective type questions for MD/ MS programme and 90 for MDS programme.
• This exam is Computer Based Test and the length of the exam is 3 hours for MD/ MS and 90 minutes for MDS programme.
• For each wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted in the test and 1 mark will be added for every correct answer.
