Diploma Orthopedics - The Diploma in
Orthopedics is typically a two year course, minimum eligibility for which is an
MBBS degree. Science of Locomotor System, Histologyof
Bone/Cartilage/Collagen/Muscles/Nerve, Physiology, Surgical Pathology,
Orthopedic Diseases, Principles of Surgery and Traumatology, Rehabilitation of
Injuries, Surgical Techniques, Arthroscopy, Microsurgery, Arthroplasty,
Orthotics & Prosthetics, Disability Calculation, Bio-mechanics of Gait,
Splints etc.
Orthopedic surgeons were the
specialists who cared for the children who had crooked spines and other
musculoskeletal deformities. Over the years, the field has expanded to
encompass many subspecialties and the treatment of a wide variety of
musculoskeletal disorders in patients of all ages.
Job Prospects
There is lots of scope in the field
of orthopedics in India as well as in abroad. Graduates after completion of the
course can seek jobs in the health care sector such as therapist, doctors,
surgeon, nurse and so on. Professionals in this career can also opt for
teaching jobs in universities and colleges. Skilled professionals with some
experience can also start his/her own hospital or nursing homes. This helps
them to gain the confidence as well as revenue.

army forces depending upon his/her choice by checking the advertisements which
