AIPVT – All India Pre Veterinary Test is one of the popular Veterinary exams across the nation. It is an all-India level examination and is hosted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The organization was started on 21st August 1984 and since then this council has been responsible for organizing the AIPVT Exam every year. This entrance test invites the candidates from all the part across the country to get enroll in five year Bachelor in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) & Animal Husbandry (A.H) course. The AIPVT 2016 examination will be held for the 15% of seats of the total quantity of the seat available in the whole country except Jammu and Kashmir. Generally the exam is conducted each year in the month of May. Eligibility for AIPVT 2016

For appearing in the AIPVT 2016 entrance exam applicants are required to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• Applicants seeking for AIPVT 2016 must have qualified 12th class or equivalent examination from any recognized institute or university of state /central.
• Applicants should have passed the required examination with minimum of 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English. 40% for candidates belonging to reserve category i.e. SC/ST/OBC
• Applicants pursuing for 12th examinations 2016 from the science discipline can also apply for the AIPVT entrance test 2016.
• Applicant must be an Indian citizen except of the state of Jammu & Kashmir

Age Limit for AIPVT 2016

 The Interested candidate should have completed 17 years of age and the age should not be exceeded than 25 years as on 31st December of 2016. The candidate belonging to reserve category will get age relaxation of 5 years i.e. for the ST/ SC/ OBC the maximum age limit will be 30 years.

AIPVT 2016 Application form

Veterinary Council of India is the concerned authority that conducts AIPVT 2016. Candidates are allowed to apply for AIPVT in online mode, other modes are not available as per the official notification. AIPVT 2016 Application forms can be accessed from the VCI website.

Basic instructions for Filling up application Form

Fill up your application by following the information brochure and mentioning genuine information. An application form with incomplete and inaccurate details or applications not accompanied by a DD would be rejected.

• First candidate need to read prospectus and all given instructions carefully.
• Application form must be filled in English language only.
• The applicant should notify himself or herself with all necessities with regard to filling up the registration form on-line as well as submission of AIPVT 2016 application form.

AIPVT 2016 Admit card

The Admit cards for AIPVT 2016 Entrance examination will be sent to applicants through speed post before one or two weeks of exam date. In case one does not get the admit card then he/she must contact ‘The Controller of Examination” at the above provided address. Your AIPVT admit card will specify the examination center, and seat number.

AIPVT 2016 Exam Pattern

The duration of AIPVT 2016 exam will be 180 minutes. The combined entrance exam will be held in English and will carry total 180 multiple choice questions from Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. There will be total 45 questions each for Chemistry and Physics and 90 questions for Biology. Each right answer will be rewarded with 4 marks. There is also negative marking of one mark for wrong responses.

Syllabus and exam pattern for AIPVT 2016

The syllabus for the AIPVT 2016 entrance exam for Chemistry, Physics, Zoology and Botany will be based on syllabus followed for 10+1 and 10+2 level for India’s Boards or Universities. No other different syllabus is prescribed.
