Sardar Patel University (Faculty of Medicine) has invited Applications for Admission to Postgraduate (MD/MS/PGD) Courses atPramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat. The notification for Pramukhswami Medical College Pre-PG Medical Entrance Exam 2016 has been announced. 
Registered MBBS Graduates of MCI Recognized Colleges may apply for the admission to 3 year MD/MS and 2 year Diploma PG Courses for the Academic Year 2016-17

Important Dates for Pre-PG Medical Entrance Exam 2016

Admission Notice or Advt on All India basis: 09th December 2015
Last Date for Receiving filled-in Application Forms: 08th January 2016
Conduct of Entrance Exam: 20th January 2016 (Wednesday, 11.00 am to 01.00 pm)
Declaration of Result of Entrance Exam by: 27th January 2016 (Wednesday)
First Round of Counseling & Admission: 14th April 2016 (Thursday)
Last Date of Joining the Course: 22nd April 2016 (Friday)
Second Round of Counseling & Admission: 26th April 2016 (Tuesday)
Last Date up to which students can be admitted after 2nd round of counseling: 02nd May 2016
Commencement of Academic Session: 02nd May 2016
Last Date up to which Students can be admitted against vacancies: 31st May 2016

Eligibility Criteria

For Post-Graduate Degree and Diploma Medical Courses: The candidate desiring admission must possess recognized MBBS degree or equivalent qualification and should have obtained permanent Registration with the MCI, or the Gujarat State Medical Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled
In case of a foreign national, s/he has to obtain temporary registration from the MCI for the duration of the postgraduate training restricted to the Pramukhswami Medical College to which he is admitted for the time exclusively for postgraduate studies
In case of Indian graduates of foreign Universities (e.g. Russia, China etc) equivalence and/or MCI registration certificate to be produced latest, at the time of counselling
He/She should be completing/completed compulsory rotating Internship at the time of counselling; all candidates shall have to submit the documentary proof from the Dean of the college regarding the date of joining and expected date of completion of internship along with the application, failing which their application shall be rejected
A candidate applying for NRI category need to submit the sponsorship in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from the website &/or obtained from the PG section of the College
Registered MBBS Graduates of MCI recognized colleges might apply for the admission

Selection Procedure

Sardar Patel University shall conduct common Entrance Test and minimum percentage of marks will be 50% for eligibility in admission to PG course
The merit list would be prepared by giving 40% weightage to the cumulative marks obtained by the students at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd MBBS (Part I & II) exams and 60% weightage to marks obtained from the CET
Merit list will be displayed on the website of college/university website and college notice board

Exam Entrance Test 

The Exam is MCQ types; candidate will have to answer the questions in an OMR Answer sheet
Duration of Test: 120 minutes
Date and Time: 20th January 2016 (Wednesday, 11.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.)
Centre of Exam: Gyanoday Examination Hall S.P. University, V.V. Nagar and Candidates are advised to be present at the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the exam
