WBPGMAT-2016 Admission to PG Degree & Diploma Courses in Modern Medicine
The West Bengal Post Graduate Medical Admission Test (WBPGMAT) 2016 for filling up the Post Graduate Degree and Post Graduate Diploma seats in the affiliated colleges of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences will be held on 10th January 2016. The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) holds the exam annually for WBPG Medical admissions in affiliatedMedical Colleges. Details of WBPGMAT 2016 exam are given here for all aspiring candidates
Important Dates for WBPGMAT-2016
Forms to be Submitted Online: 04th December 2015 (08.00 PM) - 24th December 2015 (11.00 PM)
Offline Payment through e-Challan will be accepted by the bank within banking hours of 23rd December 2015
Submission of Print-copy of Forms at WB University: 07th to 28th December 2015
Print-copies will not be received in the office of the WBUHS in person after 28th December 2015
However, print-copies sent by Speed/ Registered post will be received up to 30th December 2015
Admit Card to be downloaded: 07th January 2016 (10.00 am, onwards)
Date of Admission Test WBPGMAT: 10th January 2016 (Sunday, 12.00 noon to 02.40 pm)
Declaration of Result WBPGMAT on or before 07th February 2016
Date of Counselling: To be notified in www.wbuhsexams.in on or before 01st March 2016
Session to Start From: 02nd May 2016

Seats Availability
Seats available in the All India Institute ofPublic Health and Hygiene (AIIPH & H) are open to General, SC/ST/OBC and PC candidates under Govt. of India’s reservation policy for both the categories of candidates appearing in the WBPGMAT-2016
Total seats are shared on the basis of 50:50 by All India Quota and State Quota
Eligibility Criteria
Open Category A: Candidate who have passed secondary or equivalent and/or, higher secondary or equivalent and MBBS from the institutions in West Bengal
Open Category B: Candidate who have passed both of the examinations secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions outside the State of West Bengal but passed MBBS from the institutions in West Bengal
Open Category C: Candidate who have passed secondary or equivalent and/or higher secondary or equivalent from the institutions in the State of West Bengal but passed MBBS from outside the state of West Bengal: (a) Passed MBBS from college outside the State of West Bengal in India; (b) Passed MBBS from colleges outside India
Open Category D: Candidate claiming permanent resident/domicile of West Bengal but did not pass Secondary or its equivalent and Higher Secondary or equivalent and MBBS from school and college of West Bengal (a) Passed MBBS from college outside the State of West Bengal; (b) Passed MBBS from colleges outside India
Open Category E: Govt. doctors other than WBHS/WBMES/WBPHAS with MBBS degree from any University working in West Bengal in any department including Central Govt
In Service Category: Candidate who is in regular Govt. service WBHS/WBMES/WBPHAS in West Bengal for 3 years or more (material date 31st March 2016)

Scheme of Exam
A written test on the specified date will be conducted by the WBUHS, to prepare an inter se merit position of different Categories/Status of candidates including combined merit position seeking admission to the Post-Graduate Medical Courses
The question paper of the written test shall be set in English and shall contain 200 single best response type Multiple Choice Questions
The duration of the test will be 160 minutes
For each correct response, best response one mark will be awarded. There will be no deducton of mark for incorrect answer
No marks will be awarded for multiple answers. No mark will be deducted for questions not attempted
General category candidates will have to secure minimum 50% marks in written test to qualify in the merit list; candidates belonging to OBC-A and OBC-B and OBC is to secure 45% and candidates belonging to SC/ST are to secure 40% in written test to qualify in the merit list

How to Apply
Applicant is required to visit the website of the university www.wbuh.ac.in or www.wbuhsexams.in for applying online
A printed hard copy of the filled in application form and photocopy of required is to be submitted; fee of Rs.3000/- (Rupees three thousand only) must be deposited through online/offline mode as described in Annexure-III
Send the duly filled application form along with application fee and required fee by hand or through speed post to WBUHS on or before 07th January 2016
